Algo Infinity is our patented algae cultivation technology. The technology combines cultivation vessels with aeration to continuously agitate the algae and provide an even distribution of sunlight and nutrients in seawater. Under the correct climatic conditions, the technology produces high-volumes of algae in nutrient-rich seawater. The algae produced is harvested and then processed into bio-crude for conversion into clean 'drop-in' fuels.
In 2022, Algo Fuels UK signed a 2-year research & development consultancy agreement with the University of Queensland. The goal is to gain an independent certification for our patented Infinity system. This will include outdoor testing of the system. The main goal is to increase the yield productivity of the Infinity technology.
Algo Australia has designed an Algo Infinity Test Facility to be built in Northern Australia. With twenty-four cultivation tanks, the test facility will be a refined version of the commercial Infinity Farm, designed to fully stress-test our technology outside of the laboratory. Using our Infinity cultivation system, the facility will be used to conduct multiple scientific experiments to optimise the productivity of our specific strain of algae. Construction of the facility began in March 2023 and is set to be completed by the end of July 2023. In conjunction with former algae specialists and researchers from the University of Queensland, the facility will be operation for at least a year in Northern Australia.
Algo Fuels UK is working closely with Ricardo - a global chemical company - on product testing and certification. Ricardo will ensure that all fuel products conform to EN14214, EN15940 and ASTM D975 regulations and certifications required for global distribution.
